It has been a while since I have posted here. I am on the board for our local farmer's market. That is a learning experience for sure. My hat goes off to all who run a farmer's market. The Lancaster Farmer's Market runs from May - Oct. 12. As a vender at the market I can say you need to show up each week. I have been doing the market for 3 years and it takes that long for people to recognize you. They see that you are there year after year and can count on you. I was not there a few Saturdays ago and had a customer call to make sure I was all right. This met a lot to me.
I now know what a kidney stone feels like. I am going on week 5 of having one. The pain has been off and on so that has had me not wanting to do much. This week I decided I need to make soap as it takes 4 - 6 weeks to cure.
Today I made a batch of unscented goats milk. Right now the color looks like whipped cream. I know it will be an off white color when it is unfolded tomorrow. The hardest part for me is waiting 24 hours to take the soap out of the mold.
Now I have to think of making lots of soap for the holiday season.
Oh did I mention my nephew recently got married? No! One of the gifts they got from us was a nice basket of Carmella's Bath and Body products.
