It has been a week of my store being open. I can tell you every step of the way is a learning experience. My store is located at 50 Main Street in Lancaster NH. The shelves are not full but it is a work in progress.
As I am busy making products people have stopped in to say hi and check the store out. I am trying to make soap at least every other day as it takes 4-6 weeks to cure. The soap that is curing is on shelves in back of my display/check out counter.
As people walk by I can hear them say "it smells so good walking by this store" and that makes me so happy. When people come in I let them know I am open to suggestions as to what products they would like to see. A couple came in on Sunday and she bought some lotion and her husband asked me if I ever considered making mouse repellant. I had told hi I never even thought of it but would research it. Yesterday I made a batch of mouse repellant disks. The scent of peppermint greeted me this morning.
I also made a conditioner bar yesterday and they are still drying before I can take them out of the mold. Once they are taken out of the mold I will let them sit for about a week before I have them for sale.
