This was not an easy decision as my husband and I have talked about it for months. He has been saying I need to raise my prices to make sure I cover the cost of making the products and the overhead. Up to this point I believe I have done ok but knew I had to look at everything with a clear head. I decided that I needed to raise the prices on everything by at least $2.00. I need to do a complete cost comparison at my have to adjust them again in the near future.
I can honestly say the prices on essential oils have skyrocketed. The other ingredients I use have had price increases. The coconut oil I use is in a35 pound pail. This does save me money. The cost of cocoa butter is almost beyond reach right now for me. I am thankful I do not use much in my recipes. I will continue to try to keep cost down as much as I can while still trying to make a profit and paying my bills.
