The Coos Economic Development Corporation recently held open nominations for their BLOC Awards. They had 5 categories where you could nominate a business of your choice in each category. The nominations were then compiled for each and the top 3 where then placed on a ballot where voting was open and everyone could pick the top business in each category. I was when I received an email saying Carmella's Bath and Body was in the top 3 for Outstanding Small Business Award. On Thursday, June 18th, people within the community gathered at Mountain View Grand to find out who the top business in each category was. Our small business came in 2nd for Outstanding Start Up but I must say I am so honored and proud to be on this list.
Wendy Fallback, executive director, of the CEDC read some of the comments left on the votes. When reading these for Carmella's Bath and Body I was so honored to hear that my work is appreciated. One of these comments was this person was looking for a certain scent in soap which I did not have but said I would research it and if possible make that scent. They were happy to say I did make the soap and they like it.
I love making what customers want and will continue to the best of my ability to make your favorites when possible. I am so grateful to everyone for supporting my small business and dreams..
